Phil Jackson

Associate Pastor for Music and Media

Phil Jackson has served Anchor since the summer of 2015. He became the part-time Associate Pastor for Worship & Technology in 2016. Previous to this position, Phil served at Tristate Youth for Christ in Evansville, Indiana 2 years, 1990-1991, and Trinity Wesleyan Church in Evansville, Indiana for 4 years, 1992-1995. Phil helped plant a new church in 1995 called The Great Commission Fellowship Church in Wilmore, Ky. He served there for 9 years, 1995-2004 as the worship pastor. 2004-2006 Phil help plant a non-denominational church in Evansville, Ind. Lastly, Phil served full-time as Worship and Tech Associate at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington, Ky for 8.5 years, 2006-2014.

Phil loves watching baseball, gardening, cooking and organizing old family photos, and doing family genealogy on ancestry.com. He and his wife Dee Dee live in Wilmore, Ky. They have two sons, Jordan and Jonathan, and a daughter, Phileena. Jordan is a talented musician and Jonathan just graduated with a Worship Arts Degree from Asbury University. Phileena will graduate from Asbury with a Media
Communications degree/film. Phil is so proud to have two of his children attend his alma mater. Phil was ordained in 1999 a worship pastor by Great Commission Fellowship Church in Wilmore, Ky.
